My EC and the youngest FOML were both appalled when I suggested we celebrate Groundhog Day by dining on ground pork products.
And no, I wasn’t thinking about sausage. That is too easy. I was thinking more along the lines of a nice Fettuccine Bolognese.
And while we are talking about Groundhog Day, don’t forget about the movie. It is one of the great stories of personal redemption – right up there with Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol” but with Ned Ryerson.

Ever since I lost favor for that LDS-hating Tom Hanks guy, Groundhog Day has been my favorite movie. I LOVE it. And I can quote it with the best of them. It’s hard to find a good, clean, funny, and morally-themed show these days. Especially with enough bucked teeth.
It’s the nice man from the motor club!
I watched Groundhogs Day on Groundhogs Day. It’s like not watching It’s a Wonderful Life or A Christmas Carol at Christmas. You have to do it. (Okay, I don’t really HAVE to watch those at Christmas, but you know what I mean.)
