Flowerparts

Here is a great song that you have never heard. I figured it would be a “good day-before-Father’s-Day” post. My wife thinks it is boring. I like it, especially the lyrics.

WARNING! There is one profanity in this song –  the dreaded “D’ word. You have been warned. Forgive me.

Men should listen carefully to the lyrics, and their wives should not force them to.

More about the artist below. You can read the lyrics below the video.

Tell me how do you make a superman?
With courage and a steady hand,
Conviction and a damn good attitude,
Spiritual and moral fortitude?

But don’t forget the flowerparts…
A soft touch and an open heart.
A rainbow and some empathy.
Compassion and sympathy.
Don’t forget the, ‘I love you’’s,
Oh, and, ‘I forgive you’’s too.
It’s the little things that separate
The good from the great.

So tell me how do you make a superman?
With honesty, and discipline,
Endurance and stamina,
An icy stare, a steely jaw?

Don’t forget the flowerparts,
A soft touch and a bleeding heart,
A rainbow and some empathy,
Compassion and sympathy.
Don’t forget the, ‘I love you’’s,
Oh, and, ‘I forgive you’’s too.
It’s the little things that separate
The good from the great.
The good from the great
The good from the great
The good from the great.

It’s the little things…
It’s the little things…
Yeah, it’s the little things
That separate
The good from the great.

The Artist:
Bob Schneider is from Austin Texas, and has been putting out a lot of great music over the years. Used to be Sandra Bullocks boyfriend, which makes him even cooler.

Here’s the tough part:
Mixed in with a huge body of excellent songs are some really offensive ones.  If you want to hear more from him, look at the albums “Lonleyland” ,”Beautiful Creatures”, or his latest “A Perfect Day”.  Don’t just randomly browse his stuff. Your ears might melt.  Don’t ever, ever, ever go see him live! When I left my recommend had actually turned to ashes in my wallet. You have been warned!

Here’s another, just because.
