MMM’s Conference Activity Packets are Here!

It is almost Conference time, and you all know what that means!  Activity Packets!  Time to head to Staples and load up on ink, paper, and get printing.

In our house, we don’t print out packets, because we have always figured that if our kids can do 1.25 hours of Sacrament meeting every week, and 6 hours of school each day, they can handle a 2 hour stretch a few times a year.  But that is just us, and I hopefully they can each afford their own therapist.

What I don’t see are very many packets for teenagers and adults.  So, as a service to you, I made some cards that can all get us in the mood for Conference.  Some are puzzles, others activities. None are too hard, and shouldn’t detract from your Conference watching experience.

Here you go!

  1. Good idea, Jess! I print our bulletin and am going to implement that one…with MMM’s permission of course! Great post as usual, MMM!! 🙂

  2. The social media one is my favorite. Teen touching younger sibling a close second.

  3. Your ideas are great, but lunch options are limited here to Subway and Subway. So I guess I’ll make my own lunch. thanks for the laughs!

  4. My favorite is the word scramble! I love it so much I think they should print it in sacrament meeting programs. 🙂

  5. You are hilarious—and reading your blog I could swear you and my parents exchange ideas. One time I tried to do a puzzle during conference and my mother was less than pleased. And your post about taking kids out during sacrament (and their ability to sit still during it) seriously sounds like my own life.

Enjoy conference!! And if you are going to go out and get something to eat before conference, may I suggest McDonald’s breakfast. So much better than their “regular” food.

  6. I asked my seminary students if they wanted me to print out some conference packets for them, and no one raised their hand. I wasn’t surprised. However, I think I’ll print off a couple of these anyway to share with them. I particularly like the word scramble. I think they will too. Thanks for sharing.

  7. Sorry. Choose The Right is McDonalds. Taco Bell, although tasty, is on the left. However the correct answer is fix a simple luncheon – sandwich fixings, salads, beans & franks (no food prep during session) for a dozen or so missionaries and your family at the Stake Center. Repeat on Sunday.

    1. How does one actually print these? Since I had no luck figuring it out I recreated them for my Seminary class for this morning. They got a kick out of it, but were confused about the “Turn off phone” one. Silly kids.
      Thanks for the early-morning smiles!

    2. Laurie: Sorry, I didn’t actually set them up to be printed – it was just meant to be a joke. You could try dragging the image into Photoshop or your photo album program. 🙁

  8. Wonderful! Now I can set the example for my toddler and work on my packet while he works on his… or zooms his cars around on the floor.
