1) Now behold, it was in the early hours of the sixth day that I toiled to bring a post unto my friends. When lo, suddenly, the brightness before me became dark, like unto night. Woe be unto me!
2) I sought to restore, but alas, it booted not – and I was sore afraid.
3) My companion, the woman whom I lovest, said unto me, “Whatever wilst thou do?” for she knew of the depth of my despair.
4) For I knew not what should be done, but felt gravely burdened. I knew in my heart that I had backed-up, but yet I doubted. Oh me of little faith!
5) And where would I turn? For I was far from whence I came – a stranger in a strange land – in a city by the bay. Whoa-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh.
6) Bidding farewell to my love, I hastened up the mountain to where those of great knowledge reside. To a spacious, shiny building, adorned by a single fruit. There were great concourses of people, many searching for answers.
7) It was there I confessed my woes to he who was wise. The young lad calmed my heart, and gave me hope.
8) And I did find hope, for I had a warranty, and lo, I did use it. For a flawed board of logic had ceased to endure its weakness, and had given up the ghost – bringing the darkness upon me, and my blog.
9) My faith and hope were not in vain. For three days hence, all was restored and returned to its former glory. With a newness of light, and with songs of praise of gratitude in my heart, I begin again.

And there was much rejoicing.
Yea, what is this technical talk – mingled with scripture?
Alelulia…I understand how you felt having had the same problem..I just jumped in the air!!!
Could be worse: You could have to replace the whole box after being down for a month and then have the fun of transferring a terabyte or two of stuff from the old one . . . after having essentially the same thing happen a year ago . . .
(Sorry. Not yet feeling especially witty.)
Thanks, my adorned with a single fruit stock went up a bit although not for very long. It’s always such a relief to know that all is not lost especially in computer land. Happy for you brother.
Whoa-wo-whoa oh-oh-oh, lol I will be singing that song in my head all day… Thanks for the chuckle and I’m glad it had a happy ending. Yea, for the righteous shall be rewarded for their good works.
Yea, verily, thou hast lightened my heart with this saying, and I do rejoice in the words of thy hands upon thy computer. Truly they testify of thy knowledge of the words of the scriptures, for thou dost write after the manner of those who have written on the sticks spoken of by prophets and wise men of old.
Haha! made me laugh….
Wonderful!
Yea verily, almost this persuadeth me that I have done my scripture study for the day.
For lo, I am weary, having ridden three winged eagles from the wilderness which is Texas in the seventh month of the year, to journey to the tent of my wise and gracious sister, yea, the firstborn of our father, in the garden paradise which is her home.
And O! Mine eyes are heavy, and they beg to sleep. But I will yet drink deeply of the wisdom of Moroni, and plead with the sons of Jared to eschew a king, for I have read the book.
🙂
If I’m not mistaken this is the second computer you’ve had to replace since I’ve been following you. I’m starting to think that “single fruit” might not be “desirable above all other fruit” as some people like to claim.
Didn’t have to replace it. The board was under a replacement recall – free of charge – and they did the repair overnight. Good experience.
Adorned with a single fruit. Haha. Glad you are up and running again
Legit LOL.. Nicely written
Hooray for warranties!
So clever. Loved it!!
