The BonaFide boxes have all been delivered. It was an interesting experience, and an opportunity for my son and I to work on a project together – even though it was essentially a break-even prospect, we learned a lot, and had a blast doing it.
For those of you who did not play along, here is what was in the BonaFide Box:
Book: Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl
Lessons learned in a Nazi death camp. Riveting stuff. You might have read it as a kid in High School, but if you haven’t read it as an adult, or ever, it will broaden your perpective on happiness, opposition and agency.
CD: Eventide: Songs of Faith & Worship by Anne Britt
Anne is an award-winning composer who specializes in arranging LDS Hymns. The CD has 14 hymns, perfect music to be wafting through your house on a peaceful Sabbath morning.
DVD: Evil Roy Slade starring John Astin
Back in the early ‘80s, my friend Heidi’s father made us sit down and watch this movie. I thought it was hilarious, and still do today. It has become a family tradition, and a week rarely goes by without someone quoting it. If you don’t find it funny, I feel very, very sorry for you.
(Yes, it is very old, and very cheesy. It is also out of print, and I think we bought out most of the remaining inventory in the USA.)
What’s a movie without popcorn? What’s an MMM experience without bacon? Here is a tasty snack that follows the MMM motif. Note: Make sure you shake it really well to distribute the cheesy-bacony goodness.
Now… what did you think? Was it worth it? Did you miss out?
Please take this very brief survey to let me know what you think.

It is anonymous and would be very helpful to me.

Sorry i missed out. I won’t if there’s another!
The entire package was delightful! Thank you for doing this. It was great fun. I play the CD in my car almost continually for peace and primary music.
Australia needs to be included. too!!
Certainly would have bought one if you’d delivered to NZ ! I’ve not read/seen/heard of or eaten any of contents of box. Cool idea!!
We love cheesy movies and books about Nazi death camps, so yeah, we should have bought one.
Variety is the spice of life.
I thought bacon was the spice of life (and popcorn)
Pondering too much over a simple decision and the opportunity was lost. What a great idea. You do realize now that the bar has been set very high.
Wow, what an awesome selection. I’m really sorry I missed on this one.
So sorry I missed it! Will there be a reprise??
Perhaps… Trying to determine interest with the survey.
I snoozed on this one!
An Evil Roy Slade DVD? Man, that’s what happens when I don’t check my email prompts for a few days. (I hate summer colds!) Someday, I’ll have to search ebay and Amazon for that – the Best Western Ever.
