Sitting at my desk, on a Tuesday afternoon, thinking a happy thought:
I love you guys.
Really. I mean it.
Every now and again I will get an unexpected email, or FB message telling me about how something from this little blog has blessed one of your lives in some way. What treasures those are for me!
But I also want you to know that your comments, messages and friendship bless my life as well. People say that online friendships aren’t “real,” but since I have been blogging I have had opportunity to meet quite a few of you “in real life.” You are just as kind, and funny and smart as I figured you would be.
And good.
There is a lot of goodness going on in the lives of those who interact here on MMM.
Thank you. Big hug.
OK. Back to work.
Here
I don’t always have time to check your FB or blog when you post, but I treasure the moments when I can circle back and catch up. It’s always a pleasure–and your clever wit is just the frosting on a yummy, gospel-flavored cake. Thanks for sharing your life with us and bringing us together in this little MMM online community. And yes…back to work…we all “have work enough to do” (and the sun has already gone down)…
I have to keep reminding myself that there is MUCH good in the world. Think about all of the good people who live on this planet that go about blessing each others’ lives every day in small and big ways. The news brings us everything that is sick and wrong with our planet and the evil-doers who are perpetrating the darkness that we hear about. I find that I have to “write my own newscast” of the good so I remember that there is much good to counteract the evils that are happening in our day. And MMM, your blog is one of those! I love Sunday night check-in over on FB. Many uplifting comments!
Love and great appreciation for the work you do. This is the first time I have ever tried to make a comment on anything but I want you to know that I have truly been uplifted and have shared your words of wisdom with my family also. I look forward to each and every blog, and print some that I read over again. I have been a member all my life and still learning at 80. You are a blessing to many. Thanks to your family also for sacrificing their time with such a giving patriarch.
Considering that you just submitted your first comment, I must say that it was wonderful, and greatly appreciated. It’s an honor having you read.
As I read your comments I’m reminded why I feel a little down today. They are closing the Idaho Falls ID temple next week for eighteen months for renovation. I feel like a big part of my world is going away for a while. I tell my kids that it is MY temple. I was an ordinance worker there for five years. The real blessing is that we have other temple close by. Thanks for letting me vent, I have to get ready for one last trip today. Isn’t the Lord wonderful?
Thank you for being there. Thank you for all the uplifting (and funny) things you post. I just stumbled on to you on day and have waited for your messages since. By the way, you’re right about “good people ” being out there. Sometimes we need to be reminded of that.
Is this a result of “God’s Antihistamine”? Have you been taking your medicine? 😉
WE LOVE YOU TOOOOOO!!!! <3
i learned the same thing…there are many interesting and wonderful people in the world. Internet made it possible to ‘meet’ them. I enjoy your blog, thanks for writing.
Where’s the like button? I guess I’ll go over to fb and like it.
Since I don’t have FB or any other social media, your blog gives me a great inspirational lift. I am way too busy with indexing, family history research, attending the temple 4 times a week, quilting and just being a wife, mother, and grandmother to 8, and a pet mom to 2 cats. I am so glad I somehow found your column and subscribed. Keep up the good work. I really enjoy seeing your column in my email.
I love you right back. Because of your blog I have 38 new BFFs and have been able to meet some of them in real life. What a treasure.
Thank you for all that you do and have done to inspire me to be a better and more thoughtful member of the Church and LDS blogger. There have been a few times when I have sat back and thought, “Now what would MMM’s critique of this post be?” I’ve been pushed and inspired to think more deeply on the doctrines and principles of the gospel. We’ve had some fantastic conversations in our home because of a blog post you’ve written. I have also observed from the years of following you that you are REALLY funny, and I can’t wait to meet you and your wife one day.
It is a relief to know that MMM does NOT stand for Mad Mormon Militia.
I agree with Missy! It’s a wonderful place with witty and wonderful insights and I love it!! It makes me so happy to ready it and I often stop what I’m doing to read new posts. Now back to work for me, too! Have a happy day and relish in the thought that you are the instigator of happy things! 🙂
Thank you for letting me be a small part of your world. The people I have met through your blog are incredible! They strengthen me in more ways than I can count. I consider it a priviledge to be a part of your group.
I think your awesome, love this blog…thanks for putting all the time and effort into it!
