Have you heard of WaffleLove? If you live in utah look it up!!! Its a food truck that drives around to different spots each day! Their waffles are heaven. Ruined me for all other breakfast!
My 7-year-old grandson was playing a video game and his character kept getting killed just before the level was finished because he kept rushing into a room. (That’s the best I can do to explain what was happening on the screen.) My son told him just to slow down but that didn’t help. He (my grand), in real annoyance, shook the controller with both hands and yelled “I need more patience!” It was cute and funny, although it won’t be when he becomes a teenager… Maybe he’ll have more control by then. (Yeah, I’m laughing sarcastically at that, too!)
AuntSue Found this quote recently and posted it so I can read it everyday: Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting. I think that especially applies when we are waiting upon the Lord, loving him, and trying to trust him for the blessings we are praying for.
I need that blessing of patience every single day. It is far from being a quality I have developed even remotely. Not a good thing to be lacking when one has 4 children.
My first son was born six weeks premature. I was in the hospital for a week while the doctor tried to stop my labor and during this time my husband gave me a blessing. In that blessing I was told that the reason he was coming early is because he was impatient to come to earth. And he continues to live up to that character trait daily. Maybe the Lord meant to give me that information as a warning.
I was expecting something so profound and instead am now craving waffles.
Thank you for that.
Actually, patience is needed for me today. My middle FOML is closing on his new house (getting married in 4 weeks) and just came to me asking how to properly write a check.
All I could do was snort at him, sip some diet coke and shake my head. Patience be with his new wife.
Ha. Just went through that (the check writing, not buying a house) with my oldest boy. Made sure he could write a check while on his mission. Patience for his Sr. Companion.
Thank you. I need some patience this morning. MY mom was just diagnosed with cancer yesterday and has her CT scan today to see if it’s still stage 3 or has moved into stage 4 I find myself wanting to know NOW so we can make the decisions that will have to be made and move on. But I guess truly it doesn’t matter if I find out an hour from now or 2 weeks from now, the choices will still be the same.
I have a genetic defect in that I was born without any patience at all. Its been a hardship. This disability has limited my success in school, employment, and relationships. I do not even get a blue parking card. As a result of my EC’s considerable effort over many years, I have been learning to live with my disability, compensate for it, and (most days) function as a productive member of society.

It is helpful to have a clue about our children’s personalities.

I’m sorry Jennifer. You need more than patience, consider this an outpouring of love from a complete stranger. xoxo
May you and your family receive strength, love, comfort and peace.

Or if you’re a doctor, may you be blessed with patients as well.

I’m blessed with birthday cake(actually, I’m blessed to bake and decorate a birthday cake) and a newly minted 16-year-old daughter.
Although patience is good too.
Sometimes my sister grins at me and quietly says, “Breathe.”
