But I wanted to explain – I have been really, really busy. To help you understand why, I have included a picture of some of the things that have been making demands on my time.
First, the excellent book “Unbroken” is almost 400 pages long. It takes time to read it. And my face gets physically tired when I read, because I move my lips and sound out the big words.
Second, those little Reese’s mini’s are individually wrapped, and it takes some time to unwrap them, make little balls out of the foil, and then throw them away.
Third, when you are drinking Dew out of a wineglass, you have to schlep to the ice machine to fill the bucket, and then fill the glass more often than say, with a 44oz cup.
Fourth, “relaxed” is not my natural state. It takes some effort to get there. And I’m working at it.
Last, there are a lot of restaurants out there, and it takes time and focus to go through the Tripadvisor and Yelp! reviews to make those important decisions which could impact our immediate future. Who knew that razor clams were so delicious?
But, I am determined to get these things taken care of, and want you to know that I will get back to sharing wisdom and virtue with you as soon as I have some.
My best to you,
-MMM-

Good book. Great place. Canon beach is one of my favorite places! Beautiful!
What a great book!
this year is my 78th one, who knew that when I
lived in Utah until the WW2 began that I would
go to California and then be glad to leave there
to find a choice land. Only FATHER, and when I
read your comments, I knew that someone else was
getting blessed by our FATHER….. keep up your strength,,,, it will be needed to trek back to
Adom ondi ……
Haystack Rock! The beach of my childhood – I wish I was in Oregon! Hopefully you ate at Mo’s and walked their from the beach outlet at Canon Beach…best 1.5 mile walk in the world and a justified chowder in a cannon bowl awaits your calorie burn…
Wait! That looks like the sea shore from GOONIES!!
I could be wrong-it’s been a long day…but it’s what it reminds me of…:p
I’ve been too busy to miss you. Reading the dictionary and drinking V8 juice (low sodium).
Great book! Worth the break from blogging 🙂
Hope you enjoy your time. I feel like calling you a brat right now but I won’t. I will tell you you have a misspelled word because I’m feeling in that mood. I’m sure you meant to say, “When you are drinking Dew out of a wine glass…” rather than “When you are drink Dew out of a wine glass…” I don’t usually point out things like this because I find mistakes in my work all the time. I wouldn’t want to be a hypocrite. Now I am.
Looked for the typo, but couldn’t find it. I figure you are hallucinating again, and need more sleep.
My mistake. Richard Simmons working out in my kitchen should have been the first sign I was seeing things. Excuse me while I go to sleep.
I’m from California (currently living in China) so I recognize your location. 🙂 I loved the book Unbroken! I love reading non-fiction because it inspires me to be a better person. If you are still in CA, be sure and have some crab for me. It’s crab season, and you can’t get better than northern California crab. “mouth waters”….
Great choice of reading material…Reese’s…ditto…Dew-Yuck. Two out of three aint bad. Enjoy your view!
Yes, looks like you got some great weather while there!
I was just there in the summer…same view. : )
I grew up going to those beaches, as we lived only an hour and a half away. (portland)
Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip, and make sure to hit Bruce’s candy kitchen for salt water taffy.
I love Unbroken! Fabulous!!
Haystack?
Yes, looks like Haystack to me. MMM, are you in Oregon?
It looks like Haystack but the sky is blue…how could that be?
Blue skies at Cannon in March? Lucky, lucky man. And make sure you go to Astoria and check out more Goonies sights (the house). Hope you’re enjoying it. I grew up in SW Washington and spent a lot of time along that coast. It’s near and dear to me.
Psst. Crystal: It’s January, not March. Thought you should know…
I feel your pain.
Love the view. I’d give Unbroken a solid 8/10. Will there be a book review?
