I ended up selecting five quotes from yesterday’s comments (here). I know that some of you will excitedly rush to update your CVs. Others will be crushed, and resort to consuming chocolate, and for that I am terribly, terribly sorry. I used a very complex scoring system to select the quote that should become famous. That process consisted of me reading each submission, and then picking five before I went to bed. All by myself. I can assure you that no money changed hands. (Do gift cards count?)
You will note that most of the quotes were more “quotey” and less “stand-up comedian”. Some were funny, but not “right” for circulation. A perfect example would be Sue’s “I TOLD you, Mormons are TOO Christian”. See – that’s funny – but I’m not going to put it out there for the world. (Unless I just did. ?)
Yes, throughout this entire process I was being very judgmental, and I would appreciate it if nobody tries to throw down Uchtdorf’s Hammer. Somebody had to judge – and I am more qualified than all of you – simply because it is my blog and I can do whatever I want.

This was hard & I almost didn’t vote but I ended up going for the one that struck closest to home. One question…tbe Rocky 4 caption, were you having the last word?
