“A sign of true maturity is the willingness to do those things that you do not want to do,
with the same energy, excellence, and attitude as those things that you love to do.”
– Middle-aged Mormon Man –
Yeah, its a toughie. Wives, don’t get all excited thinking I am only talking to your husbands about dishes, diapers and laundry. It could just as easily apply to you doing dishes, diapers and laundry. It applies to home, school, church callings, and our jobs.
I tell this to my sons all the time. One day it might sink in. Myself included.
Thoughts?
Here
sounds similar to: “Cease endlessly striving for what you would like to do and learn to love what must be done.”
-Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
I’m often saying that to myself: Learn to love what must be done.” I finally figured out to pray for an interest in the must-dos.
I think i’m going to be forever hopelessly immature 🙂 but it’s a great quote
